Wash, Rinse, Repeat: Handwashing & Viruses in Schools

Through real-life case studies of disease outbreak in public schools, participants will learn about various viral pathogens, impact on school closure, the disease surveillance process, and the importance of collaboration between schools and public health departments. Public communication strategies will be outlined. Presenters will share evidence-based instructional methods for teaching best practices in hand hygiene in elementary and secondary education.
