In this dynamic session, participants will explore key theories and models of second language acquisition. Through collaborative activities and discussion participants will understand the stages of language development and identify strategies that will support ELL students.
Participants will:
• Explore key theories and models of second language acquisition (SLA).
• Understand the stages of language development in English language learners (ELLs).
• Discuss implications of SLA theory for instructional practices.
• Identify strategies to support ELLs at different proficiency levels.
