Research shows that small-group instruction must be based on student need and groups must be flexible. This session focuses on analyzing data gathered from the assessments and using the data to inform instruction for whole group, small group, and independent readers. Participants will be able to: • Administer the four parts of NSGRA • Use the whole group assessment components to decide on whole-group, small-group, and independent instructional goals. • Choose an appropriate text and instructional focus for a Guided Reading lesson based on Reading Conference data.
