Engaging Literacy Stations Middle and High School Students Want to Do

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Learning to design and implement independent/small group literacy stations can help grow a reader/writer's stamina, develop long lasting interest in books and different genres as well as build a positive classroom environment. Establishing choice through cooperative learning opportunities and allowing for quiet work time will have your middle or high schooler begging to do stations!

During this time you are able to work 1:1 or with a small group of students while other learners continue to hone their reading, writing, and digital literacy craft. Tracking completion is easy too! Either on paper or on a digital platform like Google Classroom or Schoology, you'll be able to set accountability measures and even take grades on the work completed. Come learn how stations can expand your teaching time and engage your middle schooler to read, write, and think.
